Been working on this thing since April 1st of 04, it's been a long journey, Huge learning curve as I've never tackled a build before! Everyone has been so positive on it thru out the build. Now I've got some buddies that want me to drive it to LSR at the first of April. What do you guys think? Think I could pull it off?

I don't know how finished it'll be, but I know it'd be driveable fairly easily.

    We'll see!

You have been on it for 6 years and are about 50% done. Mathmaticly, you are looking at another 6 years...But, I have a feeling you have a plan to step up the pace.

I think you definately can do it. Good lookin little car, by the way.

    Good luck, -Abone.

You know...I looked at the little car again...you are probably more than 50%. You could slide in the finished motor, wire it and pretty much be ready to go if that is what you wanted to do.

But, if you are looking at finishing the mock up, blowing the thing all back apart for body and paint and finish assembly, that's an ass of work.

You could still do it though..

    Good luck, -Abone.

I think you should try to get it running and driving, go to the show, then when you come back home tear it apart for paint etc, and have it debut again for 2012's roundup. Two different cars, two different years. You can't miss the 10 year anniversary.. This Roundup is gonna rule...

Ledsled and Abone speak with experience here. Have you got a running small block? Coolant and fuel systems? chassis sorted out? Even a brake flex line issue will sneak up and bite sometimes. Seats w/c-clamp mounts work as temps, but at some point you'll know if it's safe to run a distance. We've all had this Incentive at least once. Check to ensure that side engine mount doesn't want to rotate or flex into a cracking situation.

  18. You can do it Chad! I am in the same boat as you, up shits creek with a turd for a paddle! Just kidding! we'll get 'em done.

Ok tonight I got the Garnish moldings mounted with 3/4" tubing, I'll be connecting it around to the back window area a little later. And the column is mounted solid, just need to figure out if I'm going to run the square wheel or get a Moon wheel??

Chad old buddy, if you would quit chasing women and quit buying and selling all the time this car would have been done a long time ago.-----On the other hand, why the heck would you want to do THAT?
