There's a new post on the Scalemotorcars site where a member scratch built an older modified in 8th scale and used R/C tires. Have a look.

Hey Jeff welcome aboard buddy. I love that truck. And there's that steering wheel again.;) I see by the detail that you've been hanging with Keith. Great work my friend.

Thanks Jim ! It sure has been a labor of love/hate sometimes ...LOL... This build is slowly wrapping up and I have started to turn my attention to the T1 VW bus build as Allan has a bit of a head start on his already :)

I know 3 of these steering wheels have been ordered in stainless steel by Al, Ralph, and Marty so I've been eagerly waiting to see the results

    Cheers

Does Amazon.com still offer these 1/6 scale R/C Willys for $49.99 ? I have one here already.... But at that price I'm sure more would be interested.

  10. Year end cleaning up, I found these "drivers" that were used in some 1/5 scale cars on screen for the filming of "Escape from LA" movie. I sold the prop cars a while ago and just found this bag of men. One is missing half of one leg. They sit approx 8" tall and are also about 8" toe to back. Again, just want shipping costs is all - for one, two or all three. Where else you going to get a deal on a screen used prop?? These were in cars during the earthquake scene among others.

If you guys ever find one for sale let me know. I would be willing to pick one up cheap. It doesn't have to run. I just want to detail it.

Had mine for the same amount of time but have never charged the batteries ... But the chance to chase the animals around the house makes it sound like it may just be a good idea to charge it up.

In regards to other large scale sites, there's also the Model Car Magazine forum and Scalemotorcars.com.

Having said that, this thread is probably the best large scale thread anywhere. Thanks to Guido for starting it!

Long time model builder here. Never did the 1/8th ones...no room and can't afford them. I like doing factory stock and obscure stuff. So I have a lot of sports cars and them furrin jobs too. How about a Chinese Limousine?
