My 40 Pickup project. 401 Nailhead

 

I started working on this in oct. I hope to be driving it when the sun comes back.

 

i finally GOT my 40-47 cab, and got a set of 35-40 rails for my gasser pickup project. I'll post some pics.

 

Vaphead, that is going to be a bitchin little roadster.

Very awesome! Keep us up to date. I'm doing the same thing to my '27, only my 2.3 will be fuel injected, computer controlled and turbo'd.

 

Without mock-up I tend to fock-up...

Some argue my cars are only "mocked up" even when I think they're finished! Here's the Fordillac, and the Diamond T which is STILL only mocked up...

It's good to enjoy the journey once in a while. Although I sometimes wish I was done so I could just drive the damn thing.

 

That car has a gullwing Mercedes vibe to it....I totally dig it. Nice work.

 

My '35 is mocked up again but this time the chassis is almost done

The best stage of the build, the first good mock up.

 

Trying to work on her every day! Some times it may only be 10 minutes! However, it still gets me closer to that big day!!

 

I dont need to post any new pictures of mine in mock up stage. It is still in mock up stage, so if you have seen it or a picture, you have seen it in mock up....

I, like Rocky decided to put a few miles on it in this stage. Only I am still running down the road. wonder if I will ever finish it?

 

Found a few more one is OT, but based on a T body at least. What a great Idea for a thread. Wish I thought of it.

I think the mock-up is the most important part of the build. It re-enforces ideas and allows for alternate creativity.

 

little new for here but everyone love a good mockup and wheel fitment!!

 

Anyone else think this might be what a 49 Thunderbird would look like?

Here's mine. It's thrown together for mock up, but plan on driving it as is for awhile to work some things out.
It will be a nice shiny car some day.
