Anyone know if Lowrider Magazine is still in print? I have not seen around here at any magazine store for about 5-6 months.

  2. with a chain bridge you dont need a "suckin device" to pull the wheel off the ground, the chains do that for you, and my bad i quoted the wrong post, this is the one i saw later in the thread, you can see the chains

the chain is shorter than the max extension of the cylinder, so when you top out the one side, it forces the other side to collapse violently. usually used to get a car to 3 wheel if you dont have enough weight in the back. but if you hit the brakes when doing this in motion, the dumped rear wheel lifts up off the ground putting you into a dog leg, like this here.

I would never own a lowrider but they are some of the most eye appealing cars out there. Used to like that show "Living the Low Life".

I enjoyed this show too, was especially excited when they showed me driving through the primer nats in my 54. (was only on air for like a sec, but it was still a trip to see. Sitting there with the roomies watching, and I was like hmmm that car looks familiar, Wait thats me!!! )

Perhaps the car was supposed to be at the SOK show... It sure was not!
But... if it was supposed to be there.... it means it is still around, which is good!

This thing is really cool, I have some visions in my head for a project similar to this. I liked the idea of a roadster made from a 54. Mine would be sectioned as well!

Great to see some classic lowriders. I haven't seen too many lately. Seems like the "euros" took over for awhile and by the time that trend died out, so did most of lowriding.
There were a couple of nice lowriders that made it in at pistons and paint, and finally helped settled the debate of which way I want to take my 66 Galaxie..

Very well put! I never realized it either. I'm not much on the garish paint aspect (although it does look cool, just not something I'm interested in, personally)

I was kinda introduced to the scene through mini trucks, plus I've always loved old fullsize cars, which always seem to look right at home flat on the ground, hence my current project. A 1967 DeVille currently being bagged. Although I personally will refrain from calling it a "low rider" I won't be offended when others inevitably call it one.

  29. Well, Hot Rod and I believe Rod&Customs said X-Sonic was, so now I'm curious as well. Who has a definitive answer?
