Doug (Mazooma1) talked me into posting these.

This is the 1st batch I downloaded. I'm sifting through thousands of images I took to come up w/ some interesting pics & angles.
3 days of drag racing. We arrives at about 9am Friday- stayed to about 2pm Sunday. Most of the shots are from the rail or behind the starting line. There's a couple from the top of grandstands about 3/4 track.
    I prefer the starting line.

    Enjoy!

This car was doing near full track burn-outs which a few weren't happy with.

Don wanted her pic so I asked her if we could shoot a quick pic. She asked where I wanted her. Don said on his lap.

That's it for tonight. I'll try & load some more tomorrow night.

  14. Outstanding pics Steve. The one of Don and Roland is a classic.

  15. Awesome photography, thanks for taking time to share. This photo is my favorite one it shows drag racing is for all ages. The kid to the right of Roland Leong is Matt Buynum, the teenage wonder boy who works his butt off on Jason Rupert's nostalgia funny car.

Also this is a bitchin' shot of Jason's car on it's 5.80 pass from Saturday.

Those were some really great pics. Were you part of the media there? Or do you really have that good of a zoom. Some look so close, like you were right next to the cars. Mind telling us what hardware you are using to take such wonderful pictures.
