a chopped '36 CAN be an improvement BUT a severely chopped one can turn an already stunning car into a squashed piece of crap making it useless for anything but a hard core competition vehicle. Also.........if your not skilled in this type of modification you could turn it into an unuseable pile of scrap as this isn't a simple Model A type of deal. Bottom line...........this is a touchy one but leaving it alone is one way to win. I wouldn't chop but I sure would slam the suspension.

I say a definite maybe or maybe not. It looks great the way it is, and SOME look great chopped. If you have the talent and tools, study the hell out of it and others before you start cutting or you may end up with one of those turret tops. If it was mine, I'd probably leave it alone, and I love chopped and chopping cars.

'36 three window is on of the cars in least need of chopping - it's sex on wheels as it is.
That said even good sex can be spiced up - I say chop it (but do it right like they^ all said)

That is one good looking car, and would still be a good looking car chopped. But!, to chop that and not have it end up looking like something that 'Rebel Rodz' would jizz all over is going to take some effort. I think some long in depth examination and study of the car Cole Foster build for Kirk Hammett is in order.

 

Those are beautiful cars either way. I think a nice small chop looks good on them but its a tough one to do. If you can do it I say do it. If you decide not to I say thats good too because the car looks great already.
