Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by plodge55aqua, Jan 16, 2009.

  1. Here is a few pic,s of a 53 that I drove for 40 thousand miles before I sold it Now I will be building a refined edition. After driving the black one I know how I want my blue car to work.[ Notice paint on these cars, mostly original paint] Had a blast driving that car

  6. I notice the first page of this post has my car for sale(a year or more before I got it). Progress so far is good, still trying to find out the history of it.

No, Henry-J's are way different that the Willys, I had two '52 Willys Aero Eagle Hardtop cars way back in the '60's so know.

    My 1st, I installed a '51 232" Stude V-8 w/ a 3-speed stick OD in and it fit like stock!

I cut off the way early Cad type stock Willys tail lights and welded on '49 Ford partial rear fender jobbers, pulled the Willys grill and front bumper and it looked like a 3/4 sized '50 Ford from 50 feet!

The problem w/ the '50's Willys car's are that they are real uni-body cars where the H-J's and I think Alstate's are full framed cars!

I did put H-J front 5-lug hub's on my 2nd Willys after I installed a '49/'50/'51(??) MOPAR rearend under it. Suckers fit like stock!

PS., try here to see a stock Willys that I'm talking about.

The 1952-1954 Willys Aero-Eagle was attractive and practical, but too expensive to sell well. Find out what makes this a good collectible car today.

Here is my 51. It had been sitting in a pasture for the last 25-30 years, we saved it from going to the scrapper. It is an ex drag car, possibly ran in the puyallup area back in the day. It was missing the nose and rearend, but still has the straight axle!!

A little OT, but this is mine that I built, drove 28,000 miles and sold about 4 years ago. 3" chop, 429/C6. It was a blast to drive, especially on the strip. I miss the power!
