Finally got around to getting the shop truck lettered up. Normally I'm not a big fan of the shop lettering on a truck, but since it's my shop and it's a real place not something I made up, I made an exception.
^^^ I thought this too at first, but that old truck really looks like that is the stock paint, if thats the case I could live with it being original and untouched.
Exactly....The truck is all original and I wanted the lettering to look like it was put on when the truck was new. If it was a shop truck/parts hauler it would have been used and would have had its share of scratches and dents, just like it does.
i understand your trying to make it look like its been there for 40 years but since your shop is a real place i would think you would want your sign on a car with nice body work, since bodywork is what you do... all that sign shows me is you have an old beat up truck with your logo on it, i dont see any advertising at all. i mean hell if your gonna have a sign that doesnt reflect anything you might as well have alot funnier one. The Golf Club Driving Range "come give our balls a whack" or something like that
That makes sense, but it doesn't really make sense to have a slick paint job on something your hauling parts around in. It would make me sick to have to use something that looked like one of these....
I would strike up a conversation with you in the truck the way it is before I would strike up a conversation with you in a high polish princess truck. He would be painting a princess truck once a week, the shop kid I have can't get into my truck without smashing the crap out of my truck. In the end all the poor guy would have is a truck with a really nice damaged paint job. Besides I would go to his shop and see that the man can paint.
Your truck and logo looks great! At least your logo is for a REAL shop....not some made up one. And the cars in the pics are very nice...you probably don't even need to advertise! Good work speaks for itself....
