that is actually upstairs in the garage

  5. So you see, Denise, the real question is, "How many people have nicer carpet in the attic of their garage than I have in my living room?"

I think you can remove the wheels. That mower looks like it could just hover over the grass making that Jetson car whine. Great work!!!

so I gotta know - did you "see" this final version when you bought this?
I think THIS is what makes guys like you unique - you are able to see the finished product when all most of us see is an old mower...........amazing - love it!

Moriarty, you are the king! Only you could take a rusted hulk of a lawn mower, and turn it into a work of art! What's next...a custom weed eater or lawn edger to match?

  11. Ah it's a "no go show boat"!:p

    Kidding! It's seriously sweet:cool:

Coolest mower ...ever. I'm sure it uses Spacely Sprockets somewhere in its engine

In one of your pics i see a vintage go kart and carpet, it looks like a cool vintage custom show. How about putting the mower up on some little custom stands with the multi light rotating disc, mirrors and some angel hair....your a SICK man.

  18. Okay, I will agree with the others, that is the coolest lawnmower ever, hands down. Still runnin' points or does it have the solid state ignition?

and yeah, I'm inspired...the Schnacke "Mid-Jet" is gonna get candied and polished...

    Eventually...

...and go on a modified pirogue...hey, cant push much with 2 hp :p

I have nothing to add about the mfr, but you are one sick and talented person. Who would have thought about breathing life into an old push mower and having hundreds of people now searching for the new vintage lawn mower craze. You single-handedly started the next big revolution of lawn mower collecting. Need to take around to shows and display it on Astro-Turf and mirrors. Looks great! Steven.

Hey Moriarity, maybe try this forum. They have a section on push mowers. Maybe some of these guys will know. Push mower section is down near the bottom of the main page.

  26. There's some really strange mowers out there. Scary looking things
I saw one at a swap meet that had a turtle head attached to the front. The body was somewhat turtle shell shaped. Might have been the original Snapper.

You ought to pull it behind a riding lawnmower on a little yard trailer just for laughs. :D

  28. Yep, at the moment. I bought the solid state ignition at NAPA for like seventeen bucks, just haven't got around to putting it in there...got married in June and it's been tough trying to find time to work on MY stuff...the pirogue is coming along nicely though :D

here's a few (awful) photos of the engine, and the weird drive "jet" prop thing on the bottom...if the aluminum isn't too far gone, I'm gonna polish it...closest thing to chrome I can afford right now LoL
