That year was magical. It was '99 and the show was still small but really fun with quality cars. and it was held on the roof of the Gold Coast. The grey RPU with red scallops was marky's old hot rod. He says he's gonna get it back together soon.

So I finally found my old Viva photos. These are from the 2nd year, 1999. This was the best year in my opinion! So much fun! It rained a little bit that year. Notice the tarp over the "converted" '56 Ford, classic! That's also my buddy Steve (R.I.P.) and his shitbox '56 Buick. That car was fun, but man, what a turd! Memories......
The flamed shoebox, did this thing end up full of bullit holes with the frontend wrecked a few years later? i remember seeing one pretty close to it at a pick apart that pretty much resembles this one years ago. also, any more pics of Javi's impala in the background of the same pic??
I figured I might as well do this in order, so here are photos from VIVA #3, year 2000. I took a lot more photos this year! That's Eddie Clendening and "Missouri Megan" denting the hood on my '62 Olds. "Portland Sammy" and Lenny Jr. (So-Cal Speed Shop / Las Vegas) with his Deuce coupe. This was the first time out for both these cars. We jammed on them to make the show. Good times... Also lots of good cars from the Shifters, Choppers, Deacons, etc. this year.
dammit, now you're gonna get me all sentimental. Back in the Gold Coast days up on that roof with the Rio in the background, this was one of the best shows there was. Lot of good memories, and a lot of good people. *Sigh*
my computer ate all mine, this is the only one i have left of my buddy joes merc. i think this was 2005 or 06 haven't been back sense.
