    On a beauty scale of 1 to 10 that thing is about a 10.8. Maybe a 10.9.

Oh, what the hell. Let's just call it an 11.

WOW !!! That is a true American Beauty !!!

  17. I love Stude Hawks (one of my dream cars)....and this is certainly is one of the nicest I've seen. The chrome Kelseys and WWW really look sharp! I agree about the old 'caps...pops gonna sell them to subsidize the cost of the car?

Awesome Stude! Lots of lessons to be learned there on the art of restraint. Just change what needs to be and not just for the sake of change.

Dad wanted me to add this little fact:

"Just the chrome bill was twice the price the car's original MSRP."

My first Studebaker was a '55 coupe. It's a beautiful car and that is a perfect example!

    224 or 259?

  23. Please thank him, from all of us, for dipping into your inheritance account. Love the color combo and the wires give it an heir of elegance.Timeless design. Dear friend of my Mom had one, when I was just a wee lad. Remember riding in back seat ON TOP of the armrest. Things where so much safer then. :p

  25. great looking car...here's a pic of a 55 that was on my paper route and I tried to buy in 1974 as my high school ride...had to wait until he passed in 2008 to get it- after getting it running and on it's feet - I sold it ...now comes the 55 Speedster issue - post to come about this sad Speedster...

While reading the thread about the interior in the Stude' I found myself thinking that the rest of the car must be equally as beautiful. Thanks for sharing pics of the exterior, it's every bit as gorgeous as I expected...
