I think the Malta Bedford is cool..

I like the tri-spinner hub cap on it...really sets it apart from the rest of the Baghdad customs.

We have one of those Bedfords and if that's based on one, it's been redone from the floors on up... that might be a '58 Pontiac lower bumper. I thought maybe the lights and all the bodywork that bubbles out was added onto whatever van it originally was.

It has a face only a mother could love, and a body you could make someone a mother inside. Quite a combination.

 

Ive thrown parts in a heap that landed in a more attractive way, if you like that you might want to date this chick in the neighborhood with three noses.

 

We used to have a Bedford in England when I was a kid, it had fold down wooden benches along the sides, us kids sat on those. Mum and Dad had seats with actual upholstery on them up front.
I'm yet to be convinced this is a Bedford, I don't think it is.

Bedford made a bunch of military chassis. In Europe - especially Malta, the chassis had a variety of custom bodies put on them. From the flickr site, a native Maltan posted that there was a limited run of similar buses made for the narrow streets of Malta. Basically a coach built body on a military chassis.

'bout the only thing that dosen't work on it for me is the square side window.
