Very nice hot rod. Word of advice... never sell it. Ever. For any reason. No matter what. If you do, one day you will wish you hadn't.
Thanks for all the complements guys, and sorry R. Seghi I'm not chopping this one, maybe if i build another one someday ill do a full fender car with a chop.
I think the car looks awesome as is, without the chop! Everybody's gonna tell you to chop it, but the reality of it is....it's your car and you gotta fit in there and be comfortable. If you have it in the back of your mind to hack it up...I'd wait a few years just to make sure you don't turn into Jack from the beanstock. hahah I love the car and that black paint. What'd you use?
New pics, got the headers done and got the grill ad headlights installed. Also i finished up the firewall and put in a new smaller distributor. The guy in the car is one of the mechanic at my dads car lot and has helped me a lot with the build so i thought i would let him drive as i pushed it out of the garage for some pics.
haha yea i bought a rebuilt carb at the Wichita swap meet in february, so ill put it on and get it running after i get the car all wired up.
Nice build! Without a chop, I like the bigger front tires. When I was your age, I had a 34 5W and nailhead, and couldn't get it together before life got in the way! That guy with the coupe is right, don't ever sell the hot rod! Keep up the great work!
Well after someone sent me a pm wonder if my car was running yet I figured i would post a link to the answer. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LYL_QbIgen8 Also i just got the seat back from the upholstery shop and am waiting for the car to get back from the exhaust shop so I can put it in.
Its actually great that pic is blurry, looks old already Great build mate, pity you didnt post more pics as you went though, many of us love seeing how regular issues are sometimes resolved in different ways but all good. If it was me I wouldnt be in a hurry to chop it either. It looks great just the way it sits. Dare to be different! I dont recall seeing hairpins go back so far on an A. Just a small word of warning having seen that in one of your pics its a wet road. Those bias tyres look great but are really poor at gripping on wet surfaces, particularly in a light AV8. Just giving you a heads up as I nearly lost my 32 twice one winter (no ice, just wet). Keep up the awesome work - stoked you are doing this and are on the HAMB.
