My first kustom was '56 ford with 2" chop, '55 merc front bumber and '59 buick tail lights. It was my daily driver even in winter... And my other more door kustom was '39 ford with 3" chop on front and 4" chop on rear, head lights are fabricate from 70's rolls royce if I remember right. Tail lights are from '54 mercury.

Perfect. A stock-height or raked four-door with mags usually looks like it's trying too hard.

I've gotta a 2 door '55 Buick Hardtop and a 4 door '49 Chevy Deluxe. So I guess you could say "I go both ways"... Nothing wrong with either. Both cool, both get looks, the more-door is a whole lot easier to cruise with when you have a car load, the 2 door is cool... ok anytime, but when cruising by myself or with wifey..

There are some cars that just don't look right in the 4 door version however.. but those were mostly 70's rides and we don't discuss those here..
