As far as I'm concerned you nailed the look perfectly. Now it's time to drive and enjoy.

Wow, this car has really come together. I just saw the whole thing at once and was completely hooked the whole way through. My hat is off to you sir, incredible work.

Man I have to pee now!

Great to see it outside. The Paintjob looks Killa in the Sun. The Top also looks great.

Now you need to enjoy it with the warmer weather approaching. You deserve it, after the great effort you put in building it.

Thanks it came out just as i wanted, I'm just changing the throttle linkage back to a progressive linkage as all 6 carbs working at once is too much, also still got a bit of carb tuning to do.

Its a long boring story and not worth telling, Thanks for the positives.

  10. We MUST have SOUND video when you get her tuned up!! (I'm way overdue for a Rocket
Fix (Oh, did I mention there will be requests for both open and closed headers versions?)

Any photos of the car out and about? Also, how is the paint holding up on the exhaust?

Unfortunately it hasn't been used as much as I would like this season as our weather has been persistent rain mate.
Header paint is fine though, it's VHT on stainless pipes.

Sorry to hear about the weather, I know how you feel.

  22. I've seen the flake on this car and it is incredible - as is the attention to detail. Everywhere you look there's a custom part (as in made and not bought out of the Speedway catalogue).

Timely to see the top Steve as I'm making a fixed lift off version from a couple of MG B hood frames and this will help me get the shape right.

I too have seen this car in person and the pictures don't do it any justice at all. My hat is off to you Steve for building such an incredibly beautiful car!

  25. Just the shape and position of the sides and the roof line - they show very well on the pictures here and I've been able to confirm that I'm on the right lines. I'm going to have a tonneau cover also - so I'm happy to just have a lift-off roof. Was going to buy one of those bop top things but unemployment etc means that budgets are different.

Only my opinion Geoff but I think the boptop is about the ugliest thing ever, it's may suit a Streetrod but nothing else.
I thought I had posted pics of the frame side view ?
If you want some more I have them at arms reach.

  27. Yes please Steve - they would help. I'm pleased with the shape I'm getting from the MG B hood irons but they could use some fine tuning I think.
