I've finally gotten done enough work done on my 59 buick that it is time to start a build thread.

This is how it looked when I brought it home.

I already had a shaved trunk lid off of my four door, now parts car, so I just swapped it out.

I shaved the passenger door and got it all stripped down.

Then I got the nose all torn down.

Got the fire wall all cleaned up.

Then I got the door and cowl all DP'd.

I also started installing new rocker panels.

After I started the two door, I fell into a killer deal on an estate wagon.:D
    [IMG]

The bottom of my drivers fender had seen better days.

And the inner structure wasn't much better.

So I made a new piece and welded it in.

Then I installed the new outer skin I made.

I bought a set of seat covers from KIRK! on Egay

This weekend I bought the Rotors for my disk break conversion and put them on temperarily until i get the plates from Scarebird. And then I pulled out the springs and started measuring for my air bags.

This is what I'm going for at this point. I hope to have it close to done by Billetproof.

Excellent build and photos. But, now we gotta see more. I am not a late (post-WW2) car kinda guy, but of all the ones out there the 59 Buick is my favorite. Keep going. Looks great!!

Today I went to les shwaby and had some of my tire pile mounted on some riviera wheels. They look closer to what i want than steelies.

And I got the back lowered and the axel kinda pulled into the right area. Still not low enough though.

T42- KIRK! is quite a famus member of Hamb and you would probably have to ask him if and what he still has.

Chopped 50 Ford- That my friend is nasty! did you have to do any clearancing, Im running into some mild binding issues.

Tinmann- NAna naNA NAna naNA NAna naNA NAna naNA BATMAN!

  29. the only clearancing issues we had were the spring cups up front, they had to be widened a bit to fit the bag. Otherwise, there was nothing that needed to be 'modified' to get it this low.

You will however will have to run your dual exhaust as tight as you can through the middle of the X-member (you can see stock exhaust paths in the frame) which run right next to the torque tube.

Im having some exh. pipe issues due to hanging a bit lower than expected so I have literally shaved them off (while driving and by accident) until I can get them raised.

Your car should be able to sit 1/2" on the ground with this setup. Ill get the specifics of my setup and forward them to you.

She still 'rides like a Cadillac'. I love it!

All right guys I've been working the last two weekends and got some more stuff done...kinda.

I got the rear quarter striped down the rest of the way and was pleasently suprised by the lack of rust. theres just a little in the top lip of the wheal well arch and the chunck thats missing in front of the wheel. Someone also took the screw gun and puller to a dent in the bottom behind the wheel, so ill have to fix that.

I was digging around in the trunk looking for some parts and stowing some parts, and I came across some ugly rust it in the trunk seal area. I guess thats why I havee a parts car.
