hotrod32 i have some more but cant find em,the car is an old grp body built in england by jago automotive,,he used a cabriolet body to take the molds off and fabricated the roof by eye,,,this car was owned by a mate who sold it to a young friend of his son, sadly the young guy died and my friend painted the car as you see it for the kid parents, they drove it for a year, then sold it ,this year my friends son sold his 34 coupe and went and brought it back,it has sentimental value to the family,,bob

My '48 Morris Six. Healthy Ford 460, C6 and 9". Non HAMB friendly wheels:eek:. Still got to fit the bumpers and trim it out. There's 12 of these left on the road over here.

Any more info about the (looks like a) 3-wheeled tail-dragger in the background? That's pretty wild.

Love the Utes... Would love to see more. How far back did they make these???? :)

  15. Utes are short for coupe utility and were first made in 1934 and was designed by Lewis Bandt after a letter was sent to the Geelong ford plant in Australia by a farmers wife who’d had enough of riding to church in the farm truck and arriving in saturated clothing.
She asked 'Why don’t you build people like us a vehicle to go to church in on a Sunday, and which can carry our pigs to market on Mondays?

Born out of a woman’s frustration with car designs of the day, the enclosed cab utility was initially regarded as a luxury. But the `ute’ was quickly accepted as a necessity of bush life, and won recognition around the world as the ideal farmer’s or tradesman’s vehicle.

Thanks so much for the insite, that's really cool. I'm building my version of a 26 model T. check out my album. It's going to be chopped 5 ins. yet and I'm going to make a tailgate. Mostly for looks. :)

  17. Just checked it out......Looks cool and with a tailgate you will have a lot of people guessing..;)
