Hi, Mac, Jim here! Too bad we are so far apart. I know where there is a fixable '54/'55 W/O wagon with a Super Hurricane 6 in it. I'm sure it could be had cheap.

Found this one rotting on a snowmobile trailer, a buddy has it now and he's putting it back together. I think it's a 32 Chevy.

Really, this thread needs to stop before I look like my girlfriend after a Meg Ryan movie.

Salvaged frame and floor braces from this '50 chevy for my '51 project.
Found it at this junkyard in Blythewood, SC.

This Pontiac sat next to a busy road for a few years with winter road salt spray until most of the shiny work was toast:

Tom Cotter wrote the books Cobra in the Barn, Hemi in the Barn, and Vincent in the Barn, all of which are filled with interesting stories about hunting for and ultimately finding rare and very special collector cars and motorcycles that have been stashed away in barns, garages and abandoned sheds and warehouses.

While we have been surfing the net, squandering time, Tom figured out how to make this pay off.
He is smart and we are dumb.

I remember in the late 70's almost every weekend I went with my dad or uncles and dumped a car into the Kansas river. Most were VW's that they bought, drove home, took motor and transaxle out for a dune buggy. Damn I'd like to have some of those back!

Man, I know where a little red '58 to '62 corvette is sitting much like the one in the pic above by LowFoMoCo. Not exactly sure of the year...can only get the occasional glimpse when the tarp blows off one corner revealing the faded red paint. I've never stopped to inquire, mainly because I haven't had the green in case they wanted to sell.

  28. Its sad that there is a generation of people who would see nothing of monetary or sentimental value in these cars. Like those who move into the "Brand New Development" and form an "Association" that complains about what you do with old cars! They can take their BMW and golf clubs and stick it!
