  11. This odd funny car photo just popped up on American Nitro Facebook page.
Does anyone have the history of this 4-door Funny Car?

    Attached Files:

  12. This is a later Fiat Model "C" Topolino made from 1949 to 1955.

    Attached Files:

  13. Fiberglass body that was originally used for a Ford commercial. I think the non-running shell was airlifted to mountain top for a Ford add campaign. After the photoshoot it was turned into a funny car.

  14. "Peanuts" was owned and operated out of Service Center speed shop in Compton, Ca along with "Snoopy" the XKE Jag Funny Car.

Yes, I remember it. I think I saw it at Art Carr's shop when he was still in Arcadia during the '60s. I don't recall it being around for very long but it got its fair share of attention at the time.

It does have Art Carr painted on the quarter panel. I also still have the original C servo C4 transmission with the car.

Here are some U.S.30 reunion pictures taken by Gene Carlson about 6-7 years ago or so. These are US30 by Gary Indiana, not York US30 PA.

Shel Konblett's "Peanuts" was possibly the only funny car ever with a vinyl roof !

I keep hearing the complaining about drag cars not in motion, get over it. I will stop wasting my time finding new pictures and pizzing people off who have to see the car actually moving. If we only had cars that were moving this thread would have died long ago. Sorry for the NON MOVING CARS. Most of the cars my dad photographed were standing still, because he was a racer and could not watch and wrench at the same time. So mostly shots from the pits.
