Fenders unless your going to drop it and channel the body over the frame.

I am a fender guy, I,m too practical, you can actually use your car for everyday transportation, rain or shine. Hell I had to use mine 50 years ago.

More hot-roddish = no fenders for me. But mine are gonna take a lot more than yours look like they need. Me. I'm hangin mine on the wall for now, but I plan a 4" chop too. Haven't seen many chopped w/ fenders though, tough call.

If your selling it then you should leave it the way it is. If not then build it to what best fits your personality. I believe a car should represent their owner and if you build it this way then it will be something you cherish more so than building it to fit everyone elses liking.......... imho

Hmmm. I think I need to disagree with the masses. I think fenderless, but only if you chop the roof a bit more and drop the nose a couple of inches.

I read through quickly, so forgive me if I missed it, but I didn't see anyone talking about the proportions of the car. Right now, the tall roof and stance demand something to balance the heavy top side. Full fenders do that nicely. It looks great. If you are planning a lower, raked stance, the front tires will need to shrink and you risk that snails foot, spread all over, look with fenders. If you cut the roof and drop the nose to lose some of the weight on top, it will work nicely without the skirt. I don't think you need to channel it at all to pull that off, but it's not hard to find one done either way for comparison. So! My question would be, what are your long term plans?

  10. Definitely with fenders. Its all in the eye of the beholder.I personally think sedans or pickups look goofy as crap without fenders.

Go fenders, unless you want to run the stock wires or if your racing it.

I think my Model A Pickup is okay without fenders. But they have to have more than just fenders taken off of them to look right. Maybe that is what you meant :)

Ahhh, you would appreciate Rich Sampson, of Maine, who had a '32 two-door chopped and full fendered. The web didn't turn up any pics, but I'd bet Pontiac Slim would have some to share. The car was bright yellow, built ~1974 or later? I guess I'd vote for fenders, the car will stand out and have good lines, depending upon how the chop is executed.

Fenders and 'boards. To be brutally honest, it looks weird as hell without them.

Fenders, running boards, and big headlights. Yes!

BTW, I just had mine undercoated with Rhino Liner. A high velocity rock can do a lot of damage to unprotected fenders.

Fenders would be my choice. Best looking style Henry made except maybe the '33-'34 fenders.
