  1. Ghost28,

Thanks for the info- can't get pics right now, but the 1 hole/2 hole rear pan might help!

Also, when you say thinner in the rails, is that thinner gauge metal or closer together?

    Thanks again, Bill

Oh sorry about that what I meant was height of the rails. The metal thickness should be the same, and I dont think they are narrower. It's been awhile but when I was looking for an additional frame for my 32, there were two at the salvage yard and one was smaller in frame height and shorter in length. I believe the body parts laying around it was from a 27 chevy coupe. the 28 on up to prolly 34 chevy looked the same for the most part except wheel base...John

Correct, Ghost, except 30 and 31 had elect fuel quantity. Fuel tank apron on 30/31 was absent the hole on the right side, opposite the full-neck, where the external fuel gage was located on '24 thru '29. The frame on '32 is basically the same as '31, except it has an additional crossmember behing the tranny for added rigidity.

Dang. Nailhead that little custom pik-m-up looks like a fun project. I'm liking the shorty boards, rear fenders, and the side window treatment. But it sure do look tight in there...John

  7. Here's where I stand on mine right now. Still replacing wood with steel. I am using a little wood for flava' though.

Yeah cactus. I left a little wood in mine. Mainly the board where the dash is mounted, a couple pieces high up in the doors skin area, and the pieces right where the door closes. But braced the hell out of them anyway, as you said just for flava. your truck is coming along. I like it with or with out the hood, and the taller top and minor channel screams restraint, and shows you got it together. good job...John

Here is a 35 standard 3 window that I have been working on. I believe it came out of Wisconsin, off ebay. Any one know anything about it? it was painted black over surface rust, has a mustang 2 suspension, older nine inch rear on original springs. It looks like it had been on it's top at one time with about 50 pounds of lead spread on it.
Maybe used as a stock car?...John
