Craiglist score

Picked this up yesterday, one of the best deals I got in a long time. Any one know where I can get an operators manual for it. ? I haven't run a lathe for over 30 yrs. Can't wait to play with it.

Sears Atlas? lots of support for that out on the 'net

 

My boss picked up an Atlas lathe just like that for our shop not too long ago.

 

we bought one three weeks ago from a guy cleaning out a barn.

 

I'm modifiying the stand that came with it...shown in background...putting it on wheels and making a small cabinet underneath for storage.

 

alrighty, you will be grinding cams in your backyard in no time!!!

 

It's a 12" model #101.07403. 36" between centers. I really don't know much about it, but I figured for $110 I couldn't go wrong.

 

I dunno about you, but I sure as fuck wouldn't want my lathe on wheels, even locking ones...I've been a machinist for 12 years and I have a hard enough time trusting equipment that doesn't wobble, wiggle or roll away from me...just my .02...
