I don't know why they call Pennsyvania the "commonwealth state"....I work my butt off and There is no common wealth coming way. BUT if I had it, I'd like to spend it like That too!! Nice cars! I'd drive them all the time though.

Hasn't been America for a while now. Just read 1/2 the answers to this thread. Or try having a smoke anywhere the "public" can see you light up. Or do anything else that isn't "PC".
We fought for freedom, then pissed it away to people who know what's best for us. Let him have as many as he can get. What he does is not your problem. What I do is not your problem either. What YOU do IS your problem. I don't think there are really too many here who wouldn't gladly take the keys to all 3 warehouses. Some would drive them, some would change them, some would sell them and get something else, but I'll wager all would fight everyone else telling them what they should do with them.

Just remember that many times in the past,,, that collections just like this one have burned to the ground. One example,,a famous Baseball player lost a whole bunch to "arson".

Hey Krome, glad to hear you got your interview. I have to say I have a great amount of respect for this guy and I have no ill feelings about him having a gazillion cars. Hell I have more cars than I have parking for, but I just wish he'd get him on the road. I've now heard he is building a driver!

  6. Any of you haters ever hear of Harold LeMay? At one time he had over 3000+ classic cars. He opened the doors to his stash at least once a year for clubs, etc. Before you start bitching about "rich or old money", his GARBAGE company was started from scratch in 1942.

Since when the hell does anyone get to decide for someone else.... aw screw it, small minds that bitch will ALWAYS be little bitches

  7. Geez, more of the "have-nots" crying annd pissing about the "haves"...guess what? The "haves" WORK for their stuff!!! You guys that whine about someone that has 250 cars are just that - whiners! You have to WORK for stuff like that, it isn't somehow "given" to them, nor did they cheat and steal to get that stuff. Why is it that the "have-nots" assume that all the "haves" got to the point where they have whatever by ill-gotten means, or that they somehow don't "deserve what they have"...GET OVER IT! You want something - get off your ass and EARN the $$$ to actually GET IT! You dictate the parameters of your life, believe it or not. YOU are the only person that can get YOU off your dead ass and DO something positive, and move on! Go to school, start a business, try a new direction in your life! Whatever it is you do, YOU choose your life's direction...NOT the government, not your boss, not your job, or not your bank account. You impose your own limitations! Yes, really! Do something different that will change YOUR economy. Quit the "have/have-not" BS and change YOUR station in life. Only you can help you. Knock the jealous BS off already!

Guys with collections like that need not apologize to anyone for what they have, and especially not to guys like YOU. Also, one reason you might not "have" all you'd like, is your apparent inability to put together a reasonably cognitive, properly punctuated, and correctly-spelled sentence. A common trait amongst successful people is their ability to communicate. Just a thought.

It's (barely) still a free country and guys (and gals) can own as many cars as they want. I think the initial question was not really serious but many people here assumed it was. I don't share some of his tastes but I think it's neat that he has such a cool collection of cars he likes. I can't think of more than 20 or so cars I'd really like to own, but I would own 'em if I could.

You can have as many as your heart and place can hold.

Freedom is something we should all be thankful for and we should also be vigilant to protect those rights, life, liberty, and pursuit of happiness. Few on this board wouldn't want to add to their collection. I admire what another person has but what is his, is his. Wheteher he has hundreds stashed away from the public or if he only has one car that sits out in the weather to deteriorate, it is his. As others have hinted here before we may not be able to amass such collections in the future much less be able to drive these machines belived to destroy the enviornment.
I am so thankful to have lived in these great times and been able to drive around this great nation. I still have a lot more of the USA to see in my Chevrolet, Ford, Desoto, Metropolitain......

As many as he wants and can afford!! Is there personal porperty tax in Nev.? if so thats proberly a few bucks for the GOV.

  14. Bottom line?

As long as he owns the cars and the cars don't own HIM, then good luck to him and people like him.

Sure its nice to drive'm but ya can't drive em all at once and don't forget, a businessman does'nt have the time to indulge in the same shit we indulge in - he is too busy running a company that pays for all this shit plus his staff, bills, taxes etc....

Truth is, NOTHING in life come for free.....NOTHING, and everything, I mean EVERYTHING is a TRADE OFF or compromise.

    Think about it .....

Would you rather have one ride that you can have the time to wrench on, cruise and enjoy.....or 20 that you can't work on, drive or enjoy coz you simply DO NOT have the time.

I know what I'd rather have.

    To each their own.

At least because of this guy, these cars will be preserved for future generations to see/experience/enjoy.

An in this throw-away world/society we live in, THAT has to be worth something - even if he don't drive em.

You should be able to have as many as you want as long as you Take Care of Them. The ones that have no care are the ones that get me.

Being he does not drive them maybe he is looking at them as a investment. With so many banks going under your best bet is to own property or cars.I would think if they are nice cars he would not have any problem selling when he is ready. You can never have to many...

Hotrodding is just ONE form of traditonal FREEDOM Americans enjoy. I DO NOT WISH TO OFFEND THE EDITORS WITH ANYTHING POLITCAL, so I'll try and keep this CAR-'ROD-SPECIFIC as possible (since I normally HATE politics -- except when the goons tread on my Constitutional rights).

I could just echo what Rat said. BUT, I can't stop there. The simple fact of the matter IS that people escaped Europe orignally because of opression. WE fought two wars with the Brits to be free of narrow-minded, CLASSIST bullshit!!!!!!!!!

We are in an era when certain factons would pull a big-brother routine on us ALL, tell us how much of the pie we should have, what we should pay for various commodities, on and on.

Bottom line: We in the U.S. are coming to a Constitutional re-examination. EITHER the Constitutional rights we have always had are SOUND, OR they count for f---ing squat in this new century. Welcome to the 21st Century Gents & Ladies.

Brothers AND sister, too. If you agree that this guy is doing ALL car lovers a favor by PRESERVING these rods best he can (and indoors, too, which many of us cannot), why not take one second, go to the top of the page and vote some blue stars to the "worth" of this thread/theme. Myself, I feel guys/gals need to think about standing up and stating their feelings about freedom to run old cars (of ANY kind), before the government forces us all to put them in garages and museums. In numeorus outher ocuntries, ordinary citizens can't own private "weapons" anymore, and factions in our various levels of government keep trying to chip away at Americans' rights to keep and bear arms. I hear one governor even wants severe limits on big-screen TVs (?). Could antique, custom and hotrod cars be next on the hit list? Rhetorical question, of course. Please think it over. When our society, maybe, becomes totally homogenized. what does a car guy do to relax and vent pressure? Myself, I like the sound of loud pipes.

I gotta agree with 'rat bastad's' statement.

    "To each their own."

I mean, I could go around to half the guys on this forum and comment on what they should do to their cars.

Now, firstly, what I would be telling them to do to their cars, is what I would want to do to my cars, not necessarily what they want to do to their own car.

So..... No, I wouldn't like to have all those cars sitting there if they were mine, but hey, there not mine, there some other bloke's who has obviously worked hard and earned a living for himself and likes to have his cars sitting there to be admired by himself.

    Done and dusted.

    "To each their own."

37Zep - I say to each his own more power to the guy if he lovers cool cars. Just a shame he doesn't drive them. Cars just setting around can develop a lot of problems. The Nethercutt museum has by far more expensive cars in their place, they take their classics out on the road a lot this guy should do the same.

Zep & Cruiser: Yeah, I do have to agree on keeping them running and "limbered up." Hopefully, if he's got the dough to collect them, maybe he could employ a car guy (for NOT an arm/leg) who'd gladly keep 'em operating.

ANY body out there wanna apply for the J.O.B.? LOL I'd be in heaven!!!
