Alan Kimball was a great friend and all aroung crazy guy. He was also a member of the car club I'm in "The oddrods"...I talked with him Friday about going to HotRods and Hillbillys Saturday, he said he had to work and had promised to help somebody with their house. He was helping hang drywall Saturday night and had a heart attack and died.
We are going to miss him, he was always doing crazy things, even his hot rod was crazy, a 34 Ford with a 425 Nailhead with two AFB's. He ran open headers everywhere he went. He left behind two daughters that he raised by his self. Just don't seem right.

Holy crap...I went to high school with Alan and his brother Billy. Alan was a year or two younger than me. I'd like some details on the arrangements if you get them.

there has never been a nicer, sweeter boy than Alan Kimball.

Oh man...my girlfriend and I were hangin with him and his father for the Drive In Invasion. His father is a cool old car guy as well. Man we had several beers together for the last 2 outing there. He loved nailheads so hopefully he is cruising where ever he is.

Alan was one of my absolute best friends and it is an absolute shame. I will miss him. I took that photo above. Thats my son owen. Owen thought the world of Alan and it was mutual. That dude and I did a lot of crazy ass things together. He was a huge supporter of atlanta bands and the tattoo scene and would drop what he was doing to come rescue you if you broke down. First time I ever rode with him he had this crazy ass 78 malibu 350 with a factory 4 speed. He could drive the hell out of anything for sure. He helped me and my family more times than I could count, he always made ya feel like anything could be done, you just had to do it! My hearts with Mr and Mrs Kimball, Billy, Stacy, Casey and everybody over there in Lithia Springs and the douglasville Area, Y'all lost a good this weekend. RIP.

here is a video my old band did. Alan is racing his Nova vs me and my coronet about halway thru. His 34 also was used in it as well.
