Is anyone running fog lights on your old rod? Style or type you used?

Some may not agree with them but I can't believe someone did not do this back in the ole days.

    History, information or pics appreciated.

    Thank you.....

I have a couple vintage sets I might run on my Model A and my '62 Bel Air. Still have not decided.

http://unityusa.com/SearchResult.aspx?CategoryID=67 Terry O posted this link on a different thread. I am thinking of a single amber on my roadster. Southern Cal also sells them if I remember correctly. Maybe I can split a set with a like minded person.

  6. I had one planned for my Tudor from the start. Just scored a nice little GE from a HAMBer a couple weeks back.

  7. i always thought they looked nice on this.....picture stolen from someone here on the hamb (feel free to take credit)

HRP's Deuce pickup was the first thing I though of when I saw this thread! Love that picture!!

I like 'em, I picked up a vintage set and the early car bumper brackets. Not sure which car they will end up on, though.

  10. Very cool Tommy!

Driving my daily got me hooked on good driving lights. It is a 2000 Ranger and the lights on that thing are so good I dont hardly even use the high beams.

  12. Trad 27, you can buy amber led's that show bright amber through clear glass.

  13. I got a pair from a '36 Ford I'm using on my bad weather vehicle. I know that in the '60s in N Cal they were a pretty common site. But it does get foggy there.

I like the looks of them, and the function
I live out in cornfield country, it gets foggy at the drop of a hat.
not to mention im getting older and the ability to see under that band of fog is added visibility, especially with all the suicidal Bambi's we have running around here
I plan on a set for my A

I have had several debates about using a fog lamp.......some agree, some don't......I have seen some old pics where street driven cars would have one or a pair........I found a real nice King Bee and I use it......it is one bright mother!!

If you can find em, some of the old 70's mercedes had some really nice looking ambers, My dad up in atlanta has several sets for the 28 if he ever gets it done, I spent an entire day with a pair of waders on once, going through an old flooded mercedes parts warehouse at a yard looking for some. did find several sets of them fine looking lights, wish i could find a picture

  27. These 5" lamp PN's were given in another thread.

    Wagner 4412A and 4001A

And this HAMBer rebuilds em and sell them I think "oldlites4U"
