Maxine's front end is now under her armpits, just like the Buick with the Caddy fenders is now rusted back into the earth.

boy you got THAT right! The guy who did it is probably now a doctor doing vasectomies. . . Don't know how old this pic is but probably from the 50s?? If so the kids likely paid cheap $$ for the car & had little to lose. I saw some kids "chop" the top off a '51 shoebox 2 door Ford they bought in the early 60s, for $35 with an axe and a sledge hammer. Made for a nice summertime cruzin' convertible. Most of us and the girls with us didn't mind, we had a blast in that car - except when it rained. . .

Goddamn guys...y'all can piss and moan about anyones build. The fucking thing is clearly not done and (as all of you traditionalists know) they didn't have all of your expertise and the excellent metal working tools that are available today. Any way you look at this car, it is bad ass and I can only hope that someone can find a pic of the finished product!!!

    Exactly.

Crude, yes, but if that photo was really taken in the fifties, it sits badder than any fifties rod I've ever seen.
