Damn that sounds great. but if i have any chance of having my car driving to the pile up i cant lose that weekend. next year ill be there with my car. and someone had to say it about LW, Piero deserves it.

We were actually going to have LosStriatjackets do our wedding but they've got a prior engagement up in NY. We were bummed.

 

This will be fun!!

 

Just fired up the panel truck this morning.. Now for the mad thrash to get the steering all together. And if I have time.. Change the wheel/tire combo, bolt down the rest of the seats, Cut carpet for the front...this could go on and on.

Also have the '38 pickup / cabriolet thing in pieces and have to get that done too.



Anyone else cutting it close?

 

Yes,.......... and I have a new name for my car now..............

"THE CAN OF WORMS"..................... cuz everything im wanting to do becomes a bigger deal because im finding out it was done really shitty before i got my hands on it.....so Ive yanked the motor because cuz i wanted to paint it..... then found out it wasnt even a 305 like i was lead to believe but a 262 from a 76 monza...... so out that came out for good. then i decided to re-chop it cuz it just wasnt enough for me so I elected to take out another inch........YES IM RE-CHOPPING IT 1 INCH!......... then I see crappy welds and bondo over a 1/4 thick in the b-pillars...DAMN!!! more shit to RE-DO!!!! ......... so i got all that plus i want to paint it before our show including flaking the roof within 3 weeks...........

I have 3 weeks to consider swapping out the rear end in the RPU....I think I'd better just leave it alone for now, haha.

 

Half way from Philly to Chicago I picked up a driveshaft vibration. Gotta get it fixed
before heading home in a couple weeks.

 

Mrk welded up my steering stuff today, except for the frame bracket, but Looks like the panel truck is going to make it.

 

Front bearing in my transmission went out Saturday. Hopefully I'll have it back together in time for the show.

 

I will also be there, but with a rental car...:-(
