What's the nicest cherry red color?

Not too dark like red wine.

Not too light like strawberry or apple red

Just a nice deep, rich cherry red.

Kandy is too hard, but metallic or pearl is welcome!

Any Late model colors that have grabbed your eye out in the traffic?

This color has to pop enough to justify retrimming my 62 Poncho!!!!

And I will put it with a bright red flake roof.

Throw me a frikkin bone here!

I like this, if you want I'll look up the specs. I did it in '97, have since sold the car but have the receipts somewhere. A Nason Toyota #, I think.

Don't hate me but Miata Classic red is a good one. An mid 90's Honda had a very bright red. White base on both paints to pop the color.

  9. 1998 Toyota Lexus Renaissance Red-it's a fricken georgeous deep cherry red, very classic looking that definitely pops. Like you said-not wine colored and not bright or 'orangey-red'. Saw it on a '32 coupe and have been in love with since. Not an Easter egg color and not a sports car color. It's a color that cannot be appreciated on a piece of paper. On a car it can't be beat!

Damn Brady, that is a sweet color and a sweet truck! What year is the color? 1955? If it is how did you get it mixed?

One of the factory colors for 1962 Pontiacs was Mandalay Red. They also used it in 1959; my '61 was special ordered in that color from the factory.

Eric B. i have since sold the truck but it was a 1953. It is a popular ford color for the 50's. I will have to look for the mixture of colors and or the paint code. thanks.

The highlight, interior and wheels of my truck are PPG grenadier red, which is in between red and maroon. I believe its a generic PPG color with no OEM application. Sorry, this is the only picture I have on this computer.

I've only been liking the red found on fire extinguishers- not too orange, not too maroon, not too purple.

Vermilion Fire is nice, and has fallen from grace in Hot Rodding so it will be different these days.
