Hot Rods 1934 Chevrolet Pictures

Post them here. Apparently they are not very popular. I did a search on here and can't find any. Prefer to see two doors(coupes and open cars) but would like to see any.

 

Not popular? The 33-35 Std. Chevys have been the mainstay early Chevy hotrods for decades, probably only surpassed in numbers by the 37-38 cars.
"Popularity" comes and goes with magazine coverage in the
"unreal" world and is what it is in the real world of events and rodruns and weekend shows.

 

Neat cars, rotten wood kept then from being saved after they got old. The wing glasses always looked too big on 'em. But still, pretty little cars.

I love the look of the 34 Chev 3 window, not to say anything bad about all the other makes in 1934. For some reason all the manufactures seemed to start changing to a more stylish, and aerodynamic design at about the same time. I believe they would be just as popular as the Ford in 34 if there had been as many still available. Oh ya, the wood is definitely another reason for the chevy not surviving..................

 

The one from the first post reminds me of this right-hand-drive that was on the auction site last fall.

 

You have to be "committed" to work on the early Chevys, in all senses of the word...

 

I was just refering to the HAMB crowd. I did a search here on the HAMB and couldn't find any. I know that they are not as attractive as the Ford on just about any given year in the 30's and 40's(IMO) but the prices are certainly more attractive.

I have posted pics of a pals Orange 5W coupe with a 409. I do not have them on this computer but they can be found searching my name and open house.

 

1st one is how I found my '33, it's a cream puff.

 

This is Troy's Chevy. This is the only picture I could find. Found it in a thread here on the HAMB. It probably has a few more '34s in it.

this is a picture I found from a 2002 meeting....really old one...

As I found in a couple of book, only 234 chevy phaetons were produced in 1934, and only as standard models.....not quite sure if this info is correct, but I suppose it is....
