I think they get mixed in with different threads. There were a few real nice Z'd '32s within the last year.
I'm just looking for some ideas. My frame has a straight kick up in the rear but I would like to beef it up a bit. I think my blower motor might twist it up with some sticky tires on it.
Here are some pics of mine. A buddy of mine has a CNC plasma cutter so he is going to make me some cool gusset plates for the rear kickup
First off I dig your truck I'm building a similar one with a 34 cab. This is a 33 truck built by Hot Rod Chassis and Cycle. I stealing some ideas for my 34 build. Are you running any cage? Mat
That's not my frame here's mine. That chassis was built by Hot Rod Chassis and Cycle in IL,here's a link. http://www.hotrodchassisandcycle.com/smithtruck_1.htm
Blown34coupe, No I'm not going to put a cage in it,it will only have a roll bar but it won't be NHRA or IHRA legal because I don't want to kick the back tubes out of the cab. It will be more for a little bit of saftey and to stiffen up the chassis. Have anymore pictures of your pickup?
I know what you're saying about running the bars out the back window. I don't want to either but I'm going to get my chassis certed. I probably going to do something similar to Littleman's truck. Here's a link to my photobucket, I'm going to start a build thread soon I just wanted to get some more done so I have something to post. Lets try again. ***TECH - "Z"ing a Model A frame*** http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=297404
heres mine, nothing special but a little better to look at than just 90 or 45 degree angles. does anybody know if fish plates would be reguired, i realy dont want to i think their ugly but its better than the frame breaking in half.
Here's a kick ass tech on how to do a shoebox frame hope it helps. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=89352&highlight=chopping+shoebox
I must have missed that thread first time round Rodknocker. I just subscribed for later reference. That is outstandingly simple. Pete
