  1. So we needed to go get some topsoil for our garden weve got going on here. Kids want to plant and grow veggies, and frankly so did we. So I was talkin with some good friends about our lil plan and they said you gonna get the dirt delivered. I said hell no I'm gonna go get it in my truck, its a 1 ton dontcha know!

who needs bags... when all ya really need is dirt! bawahaha
Can't believe how low it is, barely got in the driveway and the tires rubbed on the wheelwells so bad the tarp I had in the box burnt right onto the tubs!
The guys at the landscape place said they've never ever had an easier truck to load! haha

I think you ought to be reported to the authorities for vehicle endangerment.

And as I result I plan to take said vehicle in to my custody for safe keeping...................:D

It'd been more traditional if you loaded it with a shovel, preferably a WWII era military pack shovel.

Gives a whole new meaning to "in the dirt"

    Thumbs up !

  14. Thanks guys!
Its a blast driving it for a daily. The looks I still get in my community is funny.
De Soto, it started life as a 2wd 1ton, longbox, 300/4speed, dana 70 with 5:89s.
It now has a camaro clip, 400/auto. I call it the "family camaro with a patio":D:cool:
I still gotta swap my mint box onto it and the mint nose I had for it. It started life as a mill site fire crew truck, only has 45,000 original miles on it so its mint body wise.

I bet you dimes to doughnuts that some day your daughter will remind you about your truck and hauling all the dirt? When she does, smile and know, then too, that you're a success as a parent!
That's a great story and good on you for being a cool dad and doing "stuff" with your kids like that. They always remember what you did with them, more than what you bought them.
Cool story and and a cool truck too!

P.S.Put a pinch of Epsom Salts about 1 1/2" out and around the stalks of your green vegetables every other week, then water really well. They grow like crazy!
