What year range is this model a Coupester? Im more of a 50's car guy and am not so good at telling 30's cars apart.
saw that car on craigslist for a long time. Its a 28-29 coupe minus the roof. Good luck with the build
Yeah I have been bugging the guy for 6 months. We finally hammered out a price. This is my first venture into a car pre 1950. I have some learnin to do. First thing Im going to do is sell the A frame and pick up a 32 frame. Then figure out how the front end goes together on one of them there Hot Rods. I have the feeling its a little different than my 56 chevy Its kind of outta my comfort zone, but what the hell.
^ hey man, i know of what you speak!! model a's are new for me too, i'm just excited to learn about something new. (and i've ALWAYS wanted one!)
haha thanks. plans are to get a 3-4" chop, on a model a frame with a flathead v8. pretty standard stuff, but it's what i've always wanted.
Where you putting it? I don't think theres much room in your garage with the 56 parked in it. Good luck and keep us posted.
update.... Well unfortunately I had to pass on this coupester body. I saw it up close and it is far worse than the picture makes it look. The drivers side that is not pictured is pretty much non existant. Oh well, I have a bunch of extra money to dump into my 56 now I guess..
You can't find a body that is not as straight as that to hack up? Kinda a shame as straight as it is and for how long it has survived. Might consider building then seeing if you still want to chop it, just my .02. I would not chop that top.-Weeks
Yeah, a 23 year old restorer. Now thats a good one . Just saying that there are better candidates out there for lower the lid treatment. I am not a restorer type just a respecting member of the rodding community.-Weeks
