    Hi all,

Much to my surprise I stumbled upon a very unique car with an astonishing price. I knew it was a once in a lifetime chance, and I purchased it. Yesterday.

I'll let the pix do the talking for once. But one thing they can't tell you is the ABSOLUTLEY AMAZING HISTORY it has, and about it's 32,000 original miles.
I'll tell you more later on.
Don't mind the rain drops covering it, I wasn't able to drive it into the garage before the rain hit. I just drove it around the neighborhood this morning and it felt like I was in a parade with people running up in the rain asking questions, complimenting it and taking photos with their cell phones.

Yes, I am aware this is a hot-rod forum, but I thought there just might be someone out there who appreciates older cars like this aswell. After all, it is a piece of history and there isn't out there who could be displeased if they saw it on the road.

    Thanks, enjoy.

Whatever you do do not put regular brake fluid in the master cylinder. These take mineral oil in the braking system. Don't ask me how I know thi$$$$$$$$

Man, that's a sweet car, put some flags on the front and you'll get through traffic faster than everyone else.

Very nice, one of the neighbors had one quite similar that he got out and drove a few times a year. From an era when they were classy rather than gaudy.

From the view of your garage, it's not out of your normal interests.

I see 19 inch Dayton Wires, Tall Excelsior V's, Supercharge the Big Ben and DON't change the RH steering - just always take your dog with you in the right front! Right?!

  20. Nice!

Tell us about the history then?????

Well, my car wasn't a rod when I bought it either, that doesn't mean you can't rod this thing. Maybe a V10......

Congratulations on finding one of the best cars ever built. I also have an S-1 Bentley, the last of the 6 cylinders. These are not like regular cars and you have to know what to do with them or you will make a lot of costly mistakes. The brake system is unlike any other. It has 3 separate systems and the brake pedal is not directly connected to the master cylinders. They work through a servo off the transmission. As stated in an earlier post do not use regular brake fluid it will ruin all of the seals. The mechanical brakes have to work properly or the car will roll about 18" before the hydraulic brakes work. When the brakes work correctly they are great. You will find that everything on the car is rebuildable including the ball joints. Just make sure that you are sitting down when you order parts they are not cheap but everything is still available. Have fun with the Bentley they are a nice car when maintained properly. They never break down they just fail to proceed.

Beautiful cars, but there seems to be a very good reason that there are so many with low-mileage.

Five of them arrived on this transport last week. Fortunately four of them started and stopped. From what I've seen, 80% is an exceptional figure. :D

Yours is a really sharp example, I would love to hear the story(ies).

What would the advantage of mineral oil?

  27. Chop it, bag it, primer it, and oh yea don't forget to add the SBC and move the steering back over to the left side!

An LS1, wilwood brakes on the front and a 9" in the rear mounted to the stock or a soft suspension would make it a sweet cruiser. Of course you could also use an old Hemi.
