Even worse- judging by those tail lights and trun emblem, I'd say it's a '54...

I worked for a junk yard ( part-time ) for many years. A lot of the folks do not have Titles, papers or legal ownership of the vehicles IMHO. Sometimes they have lost the papers ... or a friend/relative left the vehicle in their care. I have bought 100's of vehicles once I explained it was going to the junk yard and I was not going to attemp to get papers on it ... for road use.

On the poor side of town ... a lot of the vehicles were being used as storage sheds. I got two O/T vehicles ( with titles ) in exchange for a small metal pre fabbed shed ( about 250 dollars at the time ) . I then sold the two O/T vehicle for over a grand ... each.

If it's not for sale, it's because his son/grandson/whatever is going to restore it. Yeah right. If it is for sale, they've seen Barrett Jackson and think it's worth a mint. A guy selling a pos Comet said he saw one just like this on BJ go for 50 grand. I told him he saw one just like this, after a 75 grand restoration, go for 50 grand.

That blue Camaro for $5,000 looks like a pretty good deal if it's half as solid as it looks.

I have some seats out of a '34 Tudor that have a metal back under the upholstery. Maybe that is all that is left of them ?

I'll split it with ya', looks like a little of both, tail lights and bumper '54 but trunk lock surround is identical to a '55 and you can see the chrome from the '55 grill ends wrapping around on the front fender just above the bumper. Either way it's a Hell of a waste.

Nothing worse than parking a car under pine trees, the sap from the needles eats steel as bad as salt.

I have posted this one a few times...If you look close, the door says "kitty" in rust.

I built it about 6 years ago then sold it to a dude who still races it in the north east.

    these pictures make me sad.
i just want to go rescue them all and put them in my backyard...

and then probably have them sit there since i have no money to work on them.

    oh bummer. :(

Well sooner or later they will all be crusher food anyways. I would just hold on tight to your hot rod or restored car tight because they are already relics from the past. And everybody now days seems to be into the ricer crap of the future.

  30. A little O/T but I know where there is a '68 Shelby GT500 convertible sitting outside under a tarp. It's parked on pavement at least. The guy will NOT sell it, it's been there for 30 years I'll bet. ...Anyone know of any old drag cars out there?? :D
