Didn't he also have a HEMI mailbox that got stolen and he finally found it somewhere in Illinois. He just went down there and took it back in broad daylight. I hope I am remembering the story right.

Mike! Your still kickin' 'round! Haven't seen you since Paso 1988. Isn't that Glen's Buick?

Yep, Still kicking. Good to see a like minded individual here ;-) Been to Paso multiple times since 88. Sorry I missed you. Yes it is Mr Glenn Stegeman's "Radically Subtle" 1957 Buick Century Kustom. It's getting drive train/suspension upgrades...

Saw this in a window in Virgina. It was an old car dealership. the guy had a lot of great stuff. Gave me a tour even though they were closed, super nice guy and a wealth of knowledge.

Thanks Silhouettes 57, This site is so great. Everytime I go on it I get the "fever".

I just have to cut something up soon...

I might have to start on the next Mini Merc...

This was my very first car. I got the cab in late '79, used the discarded frame from my Dad's coupe and my Dad and I built it over the next 8 months or so. I was 17 when we started and this was my only car until '85. I think I had less than $2,000 in it counting wheels, paint, everything. I still have it and although it hasn't been a complete car since '86, thanks to the HAMB, I've been inspired to keep it and re-do it with my son in the near future.

Cross Rodder, that image on the right looks like a tea and crumpet, pinkie in the air, tea bagger bloke. Santa Pod or somewhere else in the UK?
90 volts, very nice looking beetle.

Looks like a really cool concept. When were these pictures taken? Do you know if the car is still in progress?
