Just curious...I looked around but haven't really seen anything with HAMBers weighing in on this interesting build... http://www.dynamat.com/dynasport/index.html Sort of bends the ideas about traditional hot rod vs street rod vs sports car.
I'll bite. I dig it! Many neat details, continental valve covers, curved bones, etc... Don't like the graphics. Josh Shaw had a hand in the build, maybe he'll chime in Rich
Yeah, it's a pretty neat looking car overall, and has a lot of nice details. I hate to say anything critical about somebody else's hard work, but I think it would have looked better just painting the whole thing that dark green color, and leave off the scallop thing. Or have a white scallop with a thin light green line dividing the white from the dark green. Also the frame looks a little bent in the area under the firewall. Otherwise, it's a really nice car.
lots of neat details on it but not my style. it's got kind of a Posies vibe going on. lose the wheels, the paint, the grille and the half trunk/aluminum headrest deal. while you are at it put some frickin seats in it.
I don't know if it's a '32 built by a guy with major British sports car influences or a British guy who read lots of hot rod magazines. Either way it's a terrific blend of unique components, assembled to a very high standard. BUT you gotta be ready to love it for what it is, NOT for what you think it should have been. Me, I love it, Posies coupe and many other off the wall/dare to be different works of automotive art.
Yeah, I like the paint scheme, but not on that car... When I first saw the pictures of it, I was thinking "What if Carroll Shelby had started with a deuce instead of an AC Ace?"... That's the vibe I get from it. Some of it works, some of it doesn't; but I personally have to admire Scott's vision.
I saw the bare chassis at the goodguys nats a few years ago.. the chassis construction was TOP notch.. I like the "les noise" coupe alot better, perhaps because I am not overly fond of the roadrace motif.. both cars OOZe with details.
Funny thing is.. That is exactly, WORD FOR WORD the line Scott gave me when he was trying to convince me on his change for this build.. Weird???.... Maybe.
