SBC roller cam

    How much trouble/money is it to convert a 1966 SBC(283) to a roller cam setup? Is it worth it performance wise? It is mainly a street machine.

    it fits right in there, but most are ground with the intent of being stuck in larger motors so it's easy to go too big. I have also heard that oiling is a problem for solid roller lifters if it will be used extensivly on the street. Comp supposedly has a solution for this though

    CompCams has retro Magnum series from 260HR upto 314HR. These require thrust buttons & wear plates.
