Takin my kid to Chico for college August 21--23--what's good to do in and around town??

 

Right up the road, about an hour away, is the Cheaterama in Milwaukee. August 23rd

 

Right up the road, only 2100 miles Northeast. Its worth the drive,,,,,sweet show.

Only thing I know of in Chico is go bar hopping. Lots of options, Buck's Crazy Horse has a mechanical bull you can get your ass bucked off of, The Bear is well known, girls everywhere, etc, etc.

Sprints at Silver Dollar Speedway!

 

Theres always Sierra Nevada brewing company (on 20th/ by hwy 99), you would want to get reservations since all of the parents will be going that weekend.

There might be a race at silver dollar fair (not sure...theres a gun show that weekend)

Bidwell Park/5 mile/ Honey Run covered bridge are cool places to shoot some pictures if your bringing a rod.

The bear is good, celestinos pizza is right next to the the college/downtown they have good pizza.

Other than that we've got a Walmart....thats about it.
