55olds88- I really like the color combo on your car, and that visor is great. Not some huge thing. Make the car look more aggressive.

  5. Here's one of my projects... I have this '32 Olds coupe body, it still needs some minor straightening-
    [IMG]

I've been working on the chassis lately... making the center x member. I have repro '32 Ford rails, '57 Olds rear, '35 Ford front axle, split wishbones, Posies springs, Wilson Welding Lincoln style backing plates, Buick drums, etc.
I'm going with the body channeled over the frame, bobbed rear rails, no top chop.
Hopefully I can find a good Rocket engine for it soon, somewhere near here.

    No Olds car, just this.
Actually wouldn't mind finding another 303 or 324 core that dosn't need too much of a bore to clean up.. This one's a 303 bored to 324 already and needs more..

Well the only actual cars I have are my '80 Cutlass Supreme 65k thousand on the clock, with a 260 V8, and an '83 Cutlass Supreme that had about 180K...I tore out the V6 and Wedged in a 455 with TH400... Oh and I can't forget my '36 Olds 4dr Sedan with the 240 Str 8...she's not to much of a looker though.

    But I'm really into Olds engines...My '94 Chevy PU has a 425 with TH400, and I've got 2 303's, 394 and a bunch of 425/455s...

Here's some pics of the '80 Cutlass, '36 Olds, and couple 303s, and a 394...

boy, that's a shame to put that engine in that car...true disgrace. esp when more power could be had for cheaper with an olds engine that's a direct fit. more reliable too :p

    Hey Oldsmolet

You´re right, not many 64 Flat tops around. Mine cost me $900 down in San Diego. Shipping to Sweden did cost more.

This is my 55 prior to being repainted and is in the process (slow) of going back together. I had a transmission rebuilt for it and a couple of different intake manifolds to play with. Debating on a wheel/tire combo for it, but leaning towards supremes with the present whitewalls or wide whites with smoothies and cones.

Drove the wheels off of this one from 82-93, semi-retired, then 97-03, now it needs a thorough going over!

Thx, I dig the colours too, it was originally a blue and white car (must have been common colours all 3 here in NZ were Blue and white originally only 1 is now) I bought it from an old bloke in Phoenix AZ about 14 years ago and couldnt' imagine it with out the visor have a big rebuild to do on a 56 engine to swap in at some stage.
Love that 32 Olds below, what a cool looking body definatly needs rocket motorvation.

Not exactly HAMB friendly, but it's the only Olds I've owned. It was a great driving car. Gary

The 68 is in a billion pieces getting ready for cosmetics then on to the 39.
Cant wait. My mind says yes but the wallet says no. I was really disappointed that there weren't any/more 30s-40s Oldsmobiles at the Nats as well. Don't stone me for showing the 68. All I'm missing now is a 50 and a 57.:D
