non-biased opinion

i have always had my own meaning of the term "rat", "reb rod", and so on and i had a comment made to me along this line of "not knowing the difference." let the opinions roll.... curious to hear what some of you will say. i know "well some people will say, that this.... and .... is the difference." i want to know what you guys think personally.

i may be off my rocker here, but i thought of all places to gain knowledge about this style which i am very interested in is to just plain ask questions from the "pros" and "old schoolers" and learn from them. if you guys dont want to help out and appreciate that someone is trying to learn from you rather than trying to start crap... then my apologies. but you all have started in the same spot i am now in and have asked the questions that i am.

I think the underlying message is this: This subject is asked, debated, and beat into the ground on a weekly basis. Just keep clicking back through the pages looking for all of the closed threads. Folks lose patience after a time.

My opinion is biased so I guess I'll keep it to myself.

 

What the other guys are saying is that you should do a bit of work on your on in the search section rather than asking everyone to do the work for you.
We aren't trying to give you a hard time but just saying that it is time to do your home work first.

Secondly if you have been reading the threads for here for a while you will have discovered that the "rat" cars are not well received around here .

Personally I equate them to the other end of the spectrum from the "pro fairground" cars that seem to show up at Goodguys events on a regular basis. Instead of having the car that is backed off the trailer with the big blown alcohol burning engine with open hedders thumping around the fairgrounds every couple of hours they now have a hulk thrown together with purposely mismatched parts with the same look at me attitude.
