Kick ass pics Graverobber, thank you. It looks like everyone was having a great time in the old pictures. I'm might just have to buy a six o' Coors tomorrow. Ripped Van Ripple, what a killer name for a van.
Make mine a 60's Chevy. Later Josh.

Ya know, that Peanuts cartoon would actually be funny if the punctuation was done right!

Actually, I saw a Dodge A108 next to the Dairy Queen in Orrville last week, got me thinking...and remembering the olive drab Ohio Bell A100's running around Cleveland in the 80's. Most were slant six/3speed...

Hey Doc, if you want Truckin' style vans I've got a stack of 70's truckin' mags and a scanner all you have to do is say the word...

You could post them on the Ugly Customs page!!
A nice, simple, clean lowered Econoline does it for me. No murals, flairs, moon roofs or bubble windows. Seriously I had to endure that growing up as the only Hot Rod family in a town of vans!

I can understand why you don't enjoy them then. I'm the only one in my family who likes hot rods, and has a certain small fetish for all things DONK ('73 Impala in the garage getting custom frame 4x4 conversion 28's, built 454, blah blah, it's gonna be a tow rig:D) Every one else in the family is into muscle cars and BIG 4x4's

so, a 144 or 170? Same as what came in the van originally. Maybe a 200, but still a small 6.

    Okay,here's a link to my neighbors site : http://www.angelfire.com/pa2/pindan/dodge.htm
He has a bunch of A100 Dodges and his busness partner has a couple Econolines, and Corvair vans, plus an Eco p/u and an A100 p/u,lots of other vans on his site too .I have a '67 A100 shorty van,not on his site,I'll try to post some shots as it is under construction for a repaint.I want to add some of my flames to it!What I do have that is on his site is a '69 Dodge L600 tilt-cab.It's a medium duty truck built using the cab like an A100 pickup with some big ole' fender flares! It's slated to be the big shop-truck at my bike shop!Check it out it's the big faded turquoise thing just a couple of pics from the top of the page, just a cab and chassis right now.Powered by a 318 with a four speed np435,and soon a 2-speed axle.

I was in the Channel Islands Vans in the early 70's--if I remember right, it was the largest van club in Ca.--somewhere between 100-125 vans at any time. The big run was the West Coast Nationals in King City--we took up something like 75 vans I think. The C.H.P. gave us an escort up the freeway because of our size--help us out at gas stops, too. but do the math---lotsa booze--lotsa vans with beds---lotsa women.Ahhh, those were the days!!!
Our club got in to Van Magazine --was a big thing then--almost like getting in Hot Rod--we kinda got to be celebrities when we went to runs. Then in a few years---it was all gone--just like that.
