I bought this Grumman Olson vehicle last year and all I got with it was a Alabama bill of sale. I am going to apply for a title through a title company but I don't know how these vehicles were originally titled. Grumman Olson or Chevrolet.
Looks to be in awfully nice shape to be sold with only a bill of sale???????? The company that sold it didn't have a title? Any reason they didn't?
I actually bought it from Frito Lay Corp. I got a Alabama bill of sale from them as they claimed that is were they purchased it from. They had it redone and used it for promotional events all around the U.S.
I used to work for a company that sold a shitload of these vans and they were all titled by the chassis Manufacturer. Just like the School Buses we sold were titled as a cornbinder (international) or Ford etc.. not BlueBird, Wayne etc..
in Alabama if you car has no title and is pree 1974 all you need is a bill of sell with the vin # and notarized and signed by both parties
Ha! I just sold mine a while back. I had it on here but it ended going to a local shop to use it like your's was. I used it for years for doing swapmeets. Mine was titled as a 1959 Chevy motor home. If you are going to buy or get a title, I would look into this as the plates and insurance is extremely cheap! Cool looking truck, you will have fun with it! Don
Hey guys, I was wondering what these trucks are worth. about two years ago i bought a '59 Grumman, and converted it into a camper. i know its all about condition, but anybody have an opinion?
Mine is '74 and registered as a Chevy P10. I stripped all the paint down to bare aluminum. Looks great. Put a Jasper engine (250)in it. After warranty ran out, the head blew. Got a good replacement head but never got it put back together. Moving to Vegas and gotta sell it but don't know what to ask for it.
Mine is a '57 Ford. has a 413 MOPAR, tqflite & a Brownie 3sp. Made into a camper many years ago. Don't use it much anymore & taking to the Portland swapmeet next month. It's in the HAMB classifieds.
Mine is a '63, insurance figures it is a Chevy pick-up. Fine by me! Converted to an RV probably around 1970, the perfect mobile Man Cave!
Got my '55 last year in a trade. It was headed for scrap. 270 GMC with a hydromatic.. Got it running and now its headed for camper status.
I just bought a 1966 Grumman Olson. Can you tell me if the rims are 16" 8-6.5" or 8-170 or 8-180? I am trying to find new rims for this thing and I know nothing about them.
I used to live down the street from Frito Lay in San Diego. We found/made a hole in the fence and were chip dumpster kings. My fingers were red from pistacios for about a year and a half.
I have two 18" rims off od my 1964 Grumman. If they will work for you, call me. I'm outside of Cincinnati. Dave 513-831-0959
