I'll post pics of the old drag truck this week. It'll be in the classifieds too.

There are several in one of the Paso threads from early 2007.

Drew, what did you do to lower your van? I assume you nothed the frame and built new wheel arches in the rear, but what about the front?

Hellfish-Its just in mock-up right now. I haven't done any frame/suspension work on it yet. I plan on either installing a mustang II Suspension in the front or just engineering an early S10 frame under it. My future plans are to put a SBC in it set back about 20" so i can have a bench seat in the front.

I've seen that done with a bench before... can't remember where. Getting an MII in there should be interesting. Keep us posted.

DAMN! 8 door vans are VERY rare... and I didn't even know they made an 8 door window van, so it's eithere EXTREMELY rare or it's a custom job.

hmmm... by the position of the handle, I'd say it was a custom conversion. It looks like they just swapped right side doors onto the left. Still cool and it looks solid. YOu should get it!

This thread has been going on forever so I thought I may as well post this here since this is only of vague interest to Econoline freaks anyway.
I'm getting down to finishing mine, and before the upholsterer gets it I thought I should do something about the doghouse and all the space it wastes.
This idea converts the front half into a seat for occasional use and the back half as a slightly recessed tabletop.
The work was done in 1/2 in plywood, and sits on the top lip. It takes a little imagination to see where I'm going with this, but the seat part and sides will be upholstered, and the rear "table will be formica with angled aluminum trim between the two. Just thought I'd share the idea. I'll post more pics as we finish it. Prolly a couple weeks as the stitcher is really backed up.

Erock, I bandsawed them out of a 2x4 Here's a diagram of what it'd look like before cutting (top view) Then its just a glued half lap joint. I use PC7
    epoxy for damn near everything.

There's suppose to me an 8 door Falcon Van out here in Pennsylvania, I'm on the prowl. I will find it eventually.

Anyone have pics of a Ford Van or Truck showing how low it can go with stock spring mods...no frame cutting"

I'm collecting all the parts I need to put a 302 in mine. I need the 240 transmission and I'll be ready to start the swap.

Here's my 4 Door Panel ...and no windows either:

Only a couple of inches at most. I think one of the pics in this thread is of an Econo lowered like that, but it's pretty minimal. If not in this thread, it was in another recent Econo thread.

So how do you swap the motor on one of these?

I assume you remove one of the seats and pull it up and out one of the side doors? That has got to be a job.
