"HURST Redline Pie Crust Slicks"

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by HOTRODRUBBER, Jan 24, 2008.

  1. Quick question, I figure somebody looking at this thread could answer. I'm not trying to hi-jack the thread but, I have bias ply M/T sportsman runners on the frunt of my car do I have to run bias in the back and if so. Where do I find back tires like that, that are bias ply?

  2. Yes, not because of safety, but because radials on a hot rod are GAY!

I was just thinking the same thing. Atleast now we have an option to using a fresh set of tires, but there goes the coolness of owning 35-40yr old dry rubbers just because they look cool.

I may have to sell off my M/Ts to off set the cost of these newer ones that should actually perform a little...

Make up your mind - they gave you an erection a couple of posts ago and now they're gay ?

In case you didn't notice, these tyres are capped on radial cases :)

I just got my new slicks mounted and bolted on today, and they look great! The only problem is that I'm gonna want a set of those blackwall redlines when they're ready!

I'm gonna take a wild guess and say the hole in that Slick will be a tad too big for you

  18. I like em, but.
Being caps what sort of performance limitations do they have?? Should I be worried about seriously putting 500+ Hp through them?
I love the look and black walls would be just perfect for my latest project.
    Doc.

    Hey HOTRODRUBBER,
Do you sell the whitewall (no redstripe)piecrust cheaters in the 28.75x8.5x15 size?
That'd be exactly what I need!
    Don't misunderstand,the redstripes are sweet,but I have a lust for regular whitewalls.....
    Thanks for your time!

the split whitewall fronts are cool, so are the redlines, but do you offer both services for fronts and rears, in case some one wanted 4 tires that look like they match? what does everyone for fronts with these radial cheaters? i like the supercusions but they just arent tall enough for me.

Very nice, one more thing to add to the wish list:cool:

  28. How does the weight of the recaps work racing? That's a lot of rotating mass.

  29. I just received my 16 x 10 x 30 pie crusts from Cody - with a Firestone style dirt pattern . . . they look fricking great! I can't wait to complete my car and see them mounted and generating a big fucking cloud of smoke!
