Here are my motor mounts that I made for my Hot Rod. They are for a 394 OLDS. Everyone who owns an Olds 394 knows the difficulty of making motor mounts and knowing where to place them. Here are a couple of pics for you to get some ideas. And I added an extra picture of what happened to me while making them.
original and awesome. Im working on my mounts now and its taking a while to come up with an idea for a finished product. your's sure are swell
nice work! I decided to keep the center motor mount style. i used a TH400 rubber mount and welded a pad to the front crossmember for it to sit on. I'll get pics up eventually!
Since that's a heavy engine, you may want to tie the two mounts together under the front with a piece of steel. It could just bolt to the two bottom holes already there or weld in place. It would keep them from sagging or breaking the side bolts or the casting. Just my 2 cents worth. They do look great. Brian
One of the more original engine mounts posted here in a long time......good job! My first thought was also, Drain hole?
Awsome pics. I'm about to have to do the same thing. I hop you won't mind if I shamelessly steal your idea. Think of it as a tribute.
Im sorry theyre copyrighted. Just kidding bro, go ahead. Thats what its all about, taking ideas and improving them.
would tying them into the two big holes one the front sides help with the sag idea i hate to run a bar across even a pretty one?
