Damn was really hoping to see some photos of the "buried car"...suprised nobody has posted anything about it yet ....cool pics...like the 57 Chevy...
The #45 is owned by Chuck Comer of Joplin. Chuck was at Indy last week with the Red 40 Willys "Suicide Ride" John
That 32 is great, here are a few more pics of it The show here is part of Tulsarama, the Tulsa celebration of the 100th birthday of Oklahoma. They had a Tulsaram in 1957 also, at that time they buried a new Plymouth, with plans to open it this year...which they did...and needless to say there are many 57 plymouth (and other) collectors and gearheads here to watch the goings-on. There were 300-400 cars at the outdoor show yesterday, and another 100 very nice ones at the indoor invitational show. Lots of forward look (56-61) mopars here.
Anyone have pics of the Plymouth? Even the buriedcar.com site has nothing. The way this was hyped up, you'd expect pictures to be everywhere. What's up?
there are MANY pics of the buried car on here, the search feature on this site works just fine, use it once in a while
The last pic is Tom Culbertson and Naomi from Indy. Thats her '57 Plymouth Tom's leaning against. Hope they had a good time.
I finally saw the Plymouth and what a bummer,it was total rust bucket.I don't guess the city did such a good job packing it.
Hey Squirrel, you got anymore pics of the #63 sedan or the story behind it... i really dig it. Thanks
Squirrel, please post up the finned cars when you get a chance. I heard they were phenomenal. Thanks-
But ofcourse, didn't you know? Everybody wants fins these days... Nice show-pics. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks, my son (8) and I drove our '50 from Idaho to Tulsa and back 3,302 miles round trip. Did parts of route 66 along the way. I'll be posting a photo journal of the trip on my site in the next week or so... Pete
I noticed the buried car site has a bunch of my pics. I finally got my pics back up where I can leave them for a while. http://www.tulsachevys.com/belvedere.html The car show was pretty cool and I got to visit with some HAMBers as well. CRAB
