Well i went to the junkyard today, I picked up some rockerpanel trim, and my cousin had to pick up some rocker arm assembly stantions. All of this stuff is located behind a functioning junkyard, I doubt they even know its there. It looks like they bulldozed this stuff down there a long time ago. There isnt alot of usable stuff , but some random good stuff. There is also a 60 caddy flattop in the functioning junkyard i forgot to take pics of. The name of the junkyard is GI's.
Hell.. howd i miss that. Was there in december. Didnt go much past the back.. but i did score a 40 ford wheel in the bed of a dakota. And i saw the caddy. Not much left of it now, just stripped clean. There was a cherry olds there that was still pretty complete. But looks like all those cars were swallowed up by the passaic river after all the rain.
What a skeeter hole! You'd have to swim out through the wastewater to get any parts. Better bring a set of waders.
i love the old junk yard pics. that place looks like you would be in some mud up to your neck if you didn't watch where you stepped
you're 100% correct about the mud, never go there after it rains. I managed to get to the olds and nab the grill outta it by making a milk crate bridge. OH and somebody defacated on the intake manifold of that thing, i guess it was a real shitter.
it's a cryin' shame to see such beutiful american works of steel and chrome rot away in the backwoods...
we made some plastic bag shoes that ripped instantly. i made a makeshift island from a tire and rim to get to the 6 cyclinder buried in the mud. it was pretty fun
What kinda person shits in the intake manifold of a car? I think that is the very last place I would think of to take a dump.
