So many to choose from, some that have stuck in my mind:

    Gotta give Gray some credit:

    And Doane's, of course:

This the words of D,Flash, Dale Moreau.

It is one that Steve Frisbie,
of Steve’s Auto Restorations built about ten years ago.
It is my very favorite ’32 Ford roadster, and I have had five of them myself.

Steve continues amazes me in his attention to detail. The 63 split wondow at the Good Guys NW show was simply amazing. I know his upholsterer, he is one of the most talented in the nation. Nothing ordinary comes out of his shop.

@Moriarity , you seeing anything yet that may sway from your favorite pick? We have been compiling some excellent choices both current and historical, custom and hot rod.

Probably one of the simplest builds in the thread, but it is so perfect.

I'm a fenderless guy in general, but yeah, that hits the spot.

How many old timers remember this roadster from the early ‘70’s? Nail head Buick with a 4-71. Flames under the car that were visible above the chassis. Butch Brinza flamed it.

I don't know what the frame looks like on the lil Coffin but considering the body itself could be more easily constructed starting with flat sheet or maybe including the rear beltline off an actual 32 Ford sedan it just seems silly to me to call it the best custom 32 Ford of all time. didn't it turn into the Monkey Wards monstracity?
what percent of the car is actual 32 Ford parts?

it is a "show rod", not a 32 Ford

To be fair and accurate, I started this thread after the conversation got started on @34Larry 's thread about the coffin. @Moriarity originally said the Lil Coffin was the best 32 show car. I ran with the idea and started this thread and titled it "Best 32 Ford "Custom" and Mark changed it to Best 32 Ford period (cause he was feeling cocky that he had backed the right horse). I like his determination and I understand more of his reasoning now, most 32 Fords are just variations on a theme. Mild customs go further and show car customs or full customs seem to have no limitations. I joined the HAMB not really caring for custom show cars, but I now find myself rethinking things. Some are still silly in my mind like the Uncertain T, but I get it. I don't like many works by Salvador Dali but I still stop and look at the in a museum. If Salvador built custom cars I would imagine it would have followed the Ed Roth idea.

Wire laced wheels, I like them on the car. Makes me think of @flynbrian48 's roadster with the Duvall Windscreen.

    What else you guys got?

Does this count? I know it is an earlier car wearing a 32 grille but I have always liked it. Everything I know about chrome and polishing I learned from pictures of Blackies roadster.

I’ve got nothing to add visually, I’m really enjoying the eye candy. 32s are my favorite car, any configuration. I’ll probably never own one, they have never been attainable for me. Could I afford one yes but it wouldn’t be very prudent. The one picture I posted on this thread is something that I would love to own. Simple is what I like as I age, I drive what ever own and I drive them a lot. In the gravel, snow, rain whatever that’s why I couldn’t have a custom or a show winner I’d be scared to death of road rash etc.
    Carry on Loving it!!!
