I made a few of these in the past,
'copied them from an original bracket that came with an old Belond header set, used on a long gone project.
In the past I cut the plate with whatever tool I had at the time, torch, grinder, etc.
this time I drew it up in CAD and cut it out on the plasma table.
Here is a series of photos to show the process and final product.

This is how and where I mounted my ac condenser. My cobbled together bracket is no where near as pretty as this and it didn’t occur to me to use studs instead of bolts.

Nice, did you make the header flanges also?

That's a nice unit there. A whole lot less hours than doing it by hand with a cut wheel, grinder and drill too.

total time spent on getting the first one acceptable is probably comparable,
but then it becomes very quick to repeat.
this took two trial runs, one with thinner 1/8" plate to check fit then another minor adjustment in 1/4" plate to get the final cut right, one trip to the wire wheel on the bench grinder and done.
much nicer to work with than all that grinding, drilling and sanding mess.

thanks, no, I bought these a few years ago, obviously done on a similar machine.
not sure if my little 45 amp cutter could handle the 3/8" material these are made of. 'may have to give it a try.

Looks like a lot of fun. Great for brackets and what not.
I made a header flange for my OT Sprite using a drill press, jig saw, angle grinder and die grinder with carbide burrs, it took a while.

Love it. I had to make something similar years ago to mount an alternator on a 394 but I made it out of a couple pieces. Yours is much better and cleaner. Great job
