    Yes running a real deep channel, a Y-block with the exhaust crossover pipe and the UK sports car style after-market mirror. Then there's the 62 Valiant and 2 Holdens in the background. I doubt you would ever find a US pic with a Valiant in the background.

    Being a '73 model myself, I doubt I was alive when this pic was taken. I thought Valiants were sold in the US, perhaps under a different name?

    Yes I reckon that pic would have been taken mid 60's and you wouldn't have been around. Yes Valiants were sold in the US but they were a cheap compact, classed as disposable and very few survived although there was a 62 Hardtop for sale in the HAMB classified recently.

  27. Not your typical vintage Aussie street scene with a 1936 Ford convertible spruced up with some snazy accessories. Look like spoke wheels too. Drivers elbow leaning out of the window was typical until it was banned with fines as well. Crows-Nest , outer suburb of Sydney. Trams are long gone, the cars, maybe, the gas station /workshop is still there.
